Time for a new character debut!! Earlier this year, I was blessed to photoshoot a super fun cake smash for twin baby girls turning one years old. Although twins, the adorable babies looked very different from each other! They inspired me to create a pair of cute twin monkey brothers Monchogo and Monchoco. The monkeys are similar in that both love to eat organic bananas (yup, organic bananas! USDA organic and non-GMO Project certified type…). But Monchogo is a golden colored monkey while Monchoco is a chocolate colored monkey. You will often find them creating mischief at your local farmers market where organic bananas are abundant.

Let them eat cake.~Marie Antoinette
How often do you get to photograph a 1st birthday cake smash for twins! This session was a celebration of being alike yet different. Lady A and Lady N had different colored hair, eyes as well as skin tones yet they both shared the same big love for mommy, daddy and each other. One loved cake, the other loved exploring. One was demure, the other was drama. Both together were completely awesome. The scrumptious giant cupcakes were baked by HoneyBee Cakes and made the studio smell oh so sweet! Angela at HoneyBee Cakes always makes the most creative and beautiful cakes for my client’s cake smashes. It was also so wonderful getting to know mommy and daddy who were super easygoing and calm the whole session. Happy 1st Birthday Lady A and Lady N! May you have many more slices of cake in the years ahead!

Lady G was my smallest baby yet at 5lb6oz but she was the sweetest little baby in a itty bitty package. She loved being bundled up and preferred being kept super warm, cuddling with mommy so we had a long session together but it was a beautiful session full of cute yawns, smiles and amazing snuggles. This was a special session because Lady G’s parents are long time friends of ours. The new (tired) first time parents were able to catch a few Z’s while I did my thing and it’s so wonderful when I have parents that completely trust me with their precious baby. But that’s how I like to run my sessions – like a baby spa.

A baby boy in the Studio! Sir B had the cutest features – mommy’s lips and daddy’s eyes! He made us work hard during the session but was a beauty to photograph, flashing us quite a few smiles. Every baby has their particular personality and preferences which makes photographing them a fun challenge. Sir B was definitely a back sleeper and enjoyed laying around bundled up more than getting curled up on his tummy. Even so, we managed to calm him enough for some cute sleepy shots. I couldn’t wish for a more happier family to work with! Welcome to the big world, Sir B! May you always be happy and healthy for mommy, daddy and big sister S!
